- I’ve had a lifelong interest in and involvement with audio and video recording.
- My 40+ years experience as a musician (drums and bass) playing a variety of music in a variety of bands has given me a performer’s understanding of concerts which is invaluable when recording them. For example, I can anticipate when a song is about to end and start zooming out for a wide shot of the audience.
- As an electrical engineer (my former day job), I understand the video and audio technologies.
- I’ve made a significant investment in professional quality HD video and digital audio recording equipment.
- I take the same approach with the concert videos that I take with everything else – I do the best job I can. For example, when possible, I like to attend dress rehearsals and take notes so that the actual concerts are not a ‘surprise’ when I’m recording them.
